[Video] Finger Control Technique

admin | December 14, 2009 | Comments

Today I want to share a video with you about finger control technique. I basically just grabbed the camera and filmed this right in my office at Railroad Media Inc.  Don’t expect any fancy editing work or anything like that. This is just a simple drum lesson that I believe can change the way drummers play. I teach the technique on its own, just using a practice pad. Eventually you will want to integrate this technique into your everyday drumming. Rare, if ever, will you play just a finger technique drum solo or drum fill. This is just another tool that you can add to your drummers tool box. Enjoy the video, and be sure to leave your comments below. I love to hear what everyone thinks of these videos.

Note: For more information on hand technique, I highly recommend checking out Mike Michalkow’s Moeller Method Secrets DVDs – They break down the Moeller Technique, and all key related techniques.

  • Unlike online lessons, live guitar lessons are in your face and allow you to communicate with your instructor. While online classes are convenient, studies have shown that many individuals will give up because lessons do not suit the student's learning style. With live lessons, students can request an instructor who is willing to teach the student at a pace they can keep up with.
